Community Guidelines
The standards that keep our community safe, respectful, and genuine for everyone. These apply to all members, equally and consistently.
These guidelines exist so everyone — regardless of background, gender, or what they are looking for — can participate in a community built on respect. They are not legal jargon. They are the shared understanding that makes honest, comfortable connections possible. By using FriendsWithBenefits, you agree to follow these standards. Breaking them has consequences, up to and including account removal.
Adults Only (20+)
This platform is exclusively for adults aged 20 and over. We do not allow anyone under 20 to create an account, browse profiles, or use the platform in any capacity. If we discover an underage user, the account is immediately removed and permanently banned. If you encounter someone you suspect is underage, report it — this is one of the most serious violations we deal with.
Honest Identity
Be who you say you are. Your profile should represent you honestly — your photos, your age, your location, your intentions. Minor omissions for privacy are understandable (using a nickname instead of a full name, for example). Deliberate deception — fake photos, lying about your age, misrepresenting your intentions — is not. The foundation of any real connection is trust, and trust begins with honesty about who you are.
Respectful Communication
Talk to people the way you would want to be talked to. This means: no insults, no degrading language, no aggressive demands, no unsolicited explicit messages or photos. If someone says they are not interested, accept it gracefully and move on. Pestering, guilting, or arguing with someone after they have declined is harassment — not persistence. Respectful communication also means reading the room: if someone's profile says they are looking for a genuine connection, do not lead with a graphic proposition.
Consent
Consent is the foundation of every interaction on this platform — online and offline. It must be freely given, specific, informed, and reversible. Pressuring someone into anything they have not clearly agreed to is a violation. This includes pressuring someone to share photos, meet in person, move communication off-platform, or engage in any physical or sexual activity. If someone says no, changes their mind, or seems hesitant, respect it fully and immediately. Consent is not a grey area — it is a clear, ongoing yes.
No Harassment
Harassment includes but is not limited to: repeated unwanted messages, stalking behaviour (online or offline), threats, intimidation, sharing someone's personal information without consent, persistent contact after being blocked, and using multiple accounts to bypass a block. If someone blocks you, that decision is final. Respect it. Creating new accounts to continue contacting someone who has blocked you is grounds for a permanent ban.
No Threats
Threats of any kind — physical harm, blackmail, exposure of private information or images, damage to reputation, or any form of coercion — result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform. There is zero tolerance for threatening behaviour. If someone threatens you, document it and report it immediately. Depending on the nature of the threat, you may also want to contact local authorities.
No Hate Speech
We do not tolerate attacks on people based on their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other aspect of their identity. Hate speech is not "just an opinion" — it creates a hostile environment and has no place here. This includes slurs, stereotyping, dehumanising language, and content that promotes discrimination or violence against any group.
No Financial Solicitation
FriendsWithBenefits is not a platform for financial transactions of any kind. Members may not: ask others for money, loans, or financial assistance; solicit payment for companionship or any other service; promote businesses, investment schemes, or products; request gift cards, banking information, or UPI transfers. Financial solicitation is treated as a serious violation and typically results in immediate account removal. If someone asks you for money, report them — even if their story seems convincing.
No Impersonation
Do not pretend to be someone else. This includes: using another person's photos, creating an account in someone else's name, impersonating a public figure, or otherwise misrepresenting your identity. Impersonation undermines the trust the entire community depends on and is treated accordingly — with account removal and a permanent ban.
No Illegal Activity
Using the platform to facilitate or discuss illegal activity is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: solicitation of sex work, drug-related activity, human trafficking, distribution of illegal content, or any other activity that violates Indian law. Accounts involved in illegal activity are removed immediately and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
No Public Explicit Content
Profile photos and public-facing content must be appropriate for a general-audience platform. Nudity, sexually explicit imagery, and graphic content are not permitted in profile pictures or public areas of the platform. This is about maintaining a space where everyone can browse comfortably. Private conversations between consenting adults are your own business — what appears publicly is not.
Respect for Privacy
What happens between members stays between them. Do not share private conversations, photos, or personal information about another member without their explicit consent. Do not post screenshots of private chats publicly. Do not reveal someone's identity, contact information, or personal details to others. Privacy is mutual — protect theirs the way you expect them to protect yours. Violating someone's privacy is not just a breach of these guidelines; it can cause real harm.
Reporting Misconduct
If someone violates these guidelines — or if something simply feels wrong — report it. Reporting is confidential. You can report a profile, a message, or specific behaviour. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes appropriate action. Reporting is not "snitching" or causing drama — it is protecting yourself and contributing to a safer community for everyone. If you are unsure whether something qualifies, report it anyway. We would rather review something that turns out to be fine than miss something that is not.
Account Restrictions or Removal
Violating these guidelines can result in: a warning, temporary suspension, permanent account removal, or a ban from creating future accounts — depending on the nature and severity of the violation. Serious violations (threats, hate speech, financial scams, impersonation, illegal activity) typically result in immediate and permanent removal. We reserve the right to remove any account that undermines the safety or integrity of the community, even for behaviour not explicitly listed here. Our goal is not to police every interaction — it is to maintain a space where genuine, respectful connections can happen.
Building this together
A platform is only as healthy as the community that uses it. These guidelines exist on paper, but they only matter if we all — members and moderators alike — take them seriously. When you communicate with respect, protect other people's privacy, report concerning behaviour, and treat every person here as a whole human being, you are actively building the kind of community worth being part of. Thank you for being part of that.
